Jefferson Co. Fair Burnout Contest Rules 

Any driver entered in the Burnout contest must have a valid driver's license.

Vehicle need not be licensed.

Helmets required.

Derby cars or Tuff trucks can be run in the Burnout contest.

Hot Rods are invited to run as well as just about any other vehicle that was once licensed for the road with four wheels.

ATV's are not allowed.

Motorcycles are not allowed.

Classes will be divided into a truck class & a car class.

Every entry will be inspected for safety features before the contest.

Vehicle must have all lug bolts and/or nuts, brake check, steering check and tire check.

Vehicle must have hub caps, beauty rings, or anything on the wheels that can come loose removed.

Burnout will last no longer than 30 seconds.

Only water will be permitted on the tires. No chemicals allowed.

If there is excessive tire hop, car or truck will be stopped.

Officials have the right to stop any vehicle if necessary.

Officials have the right to deny any vehicle deemed not safe to run.

Judging will be done by a panel of at least 5 people.

Crowd response will play a big part in the judging.

Driver's history info: Name, Home town, Car make & history, Hobbies and any other information should be given at sign up.

Fee to enter will be $15.00.

Purse for cars will be at least: First - $150.00, Second - $100.00 and Third - $50.00.

Purse for trucks will be at least: First - $150.00, Second - $100.00 and Third - $50.00.

Trophies will be given to the first 3 finishers of each class.
